Jim has been helping clients since 1980 with matters involving business, real estate, and construction law. He has particular expertise in working with family businesses; commercial and residential building contractors; condominium developers and owners' associations; commercial and residential real estate developers; landlords and tenants; and non-profit organizations.

Active in the State Bar of Michigan, Jim has served as co-chair of the Real Property Law Section's Special Committee on Condominiums, PUDs, and Cooperatives. Jim is a regular speaker on condominiums and real estate topics.

Jim and his wife, Becky, live in rural Ottawa County. They have four grown children and several grandchildren. Jim enjoys singing, playing trumpet, hunting, and golf.
